Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is a blanket term used to describe dental work focused on improving the appearance of your smile including your gums, teeth or even your bite. When you meet and interact with new people, your teeth are one of the first things that they notice about you. If you have a crooked smile, yellow teeth or even a gap from a missing tooth, you could be overly conscientious, shy or avoid interactions all together. Cosmetic dentistry exists and is available to you so you can change your smile to gain confidence and communicate better with those around you.

Family Dentistry

Whether it is general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry or family dentistry, our approach is focused on of all of your family’s teeth and their needs.  We like to concentrate on the unique needs of children of all ages, because children’s teeth are so different from adults’ teeth. We make sure to provide fluoride treatments, regular cleanings, and early cavity identification and filling among other specific services for those developing teeth.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers make a dramatic and immediate improvement to your smile by providing a thin shell to over your natural teeth to change the shape or color. These “instant orthodontics” allow people to straighten crooked teeth and create a more symmetric, aesthetically pleasing smile just as old fashion orthodontics do over time.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a treatment for damaged, decayed or less than perfect teeth where the dentist can replace the surface of the tooth above the gum line. When your tooth is damaged, a dental crown can replace the surface of the tooth to helps stop further damage and to protect the remaining part of the tooth.

Dentures

Dentures are easily tailored to fit most locations in your mouth and can resemble your original teeth or more aesthetically appealing versions of your original teeth. What’s more, dentures bring with many benefits, including better functionality and protection for exposed gums and teeth. And let’s not ignore that fact that full or partial dentures help you share your full and confident smile with the world again!

Deep Teeth Cleaning

Deep teeth cleaning differs from a regular cleaning where your dentist cleans your tooth along the gum line. A scaling and root planing involves your dentist cleaning below your gum line to remove bacteria, debris, tartar and plague that have collected there. When the dentist performs this type of cleaning, your gums will begin the healing process from the infection and inflammation that was festering there previously.

Dental Bridge

A dental bridge is a means of replacing a missing tooth by attaching a false tooth to your natural teeth on either side of the gap, or using the existing teeth to anchor a replacement tooth or teeth on either side. Where a dental implant uses a titanium rod in the gums to replace a missing tooth, a dental bridge forms attachment points on either side to replace a missing tooth.

Night & Mouth Guards

The biggest benefit and central reason for wearing mouth guards is to protect your teeth. While ten to fifteen years ago, it was unusual to see people skiing and bicycling with helmets regularly, it is become more and more common practice to wear this protective gear.

Laser Dentistry

If the dentist chooses to user laser dentistry over traditional methods, then the laser will yield the same results but in a more effective way. In the case that the dentist is using the laser to cut over a scalpel, a scalpel will require sutures. The sutures can lead to inflammation and longer healing period. When the dentist uses a laser, no sutures are required and healing time is reduced.

CEREC Crowns

Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics or CEREC crowns are a procedure that digitally constructs tooth  replacement prosthetics which removes the need for crowns and fillings.

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings are one of the most common treatment options to help refurbish a damaged tooth. Dental fillings have two main categories composite and amalgam, but there are five recognized types of fillings, amalgam, composite resin, cast gold, ceramic, and glass ionomer.

Dental Exam & Cleaning

Visiting the dentist is not reserved for when you are experiencing tooth pain or you accidentally chip a tooth. Instead, regular dental exams and cleaning are the best way to prevent emergency appointments from cavities, gum pain or infections. While some emergencies cannot be prevented, like a car accident, issues like tooth decay, oral cancer and root canals can all be detected early and treated without future problems.

Implant Supported Dentures

An implant-supported denture is a specific type of denture that is attached to and supported by dental implants. Where a regular denture rests on the gums without support, an implant-supported denture is used when a person doesn't have any teeth in the jaw. The implanted supported denture needs the person to have enough bone in the jaw to support implants.

Invisalign

Invisalign is a means of straightening your teeth that has become a popular alternative to metal braces over the last few years. Invisalign has gained so much popularity because it is fast and comfortable without the unsightly invasion of metal braces

Root Canals

Root canal therapy, or as you have more likely heard it root canal, is a means of dental treatment that addresses an infected tooth at its pulp or root. The pulp of a tooth does not infect easily and usually is a result of a cavity spreading to the pulp or a cracked tooth allowing direct access to the pulp for bacteria.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extraction generally usually involves more than one appointment and begins with your consultation when you and your dentist determine extraction is the best solution. An extraction can be simple or complex.

Dental Implants

Dental implants or permanently placed “false teeth” are a means of helping you complete your smile so you don’t have to hide your toothy grin or struggle to chew or bite due to missing teeth. Dental implants use titanium to secure the replacement tooth in place and this helps strengthen the jawbone after the loss of tooth and its root. With the added help of the titanium, the jaw is less likely to suffer additional bone loss.

All on Four Dental Implants

All-on-4 is an implant procedure for patients who are looking for a solution to a fixed restoration of their teeth. This procedure uses four unique dental implants for support. These four implants can support an entire arch or entire upper or lower jaw full of teeth.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is procedure that uses a molding material that looks and feels like your real teeth. This strong substance is used to fix and repair chipped or cracked teeth, exposed roots due to gum recession, minimize teeth gaps or address issues of general decay.

Full Mouth Reconstruction

Full mouth reconstruction is a multi-step process whereby the dentist removes any old dental work and replaces it with new dental work to improve your overall dental health. Full mouth reconstruction is just that; it involves removing any old fillings, veneers, crowns.

Teeth Whitening

Simply put, teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure that helps transform damaged and discolored teeth to their natural bright state. You may want to consider teeth whitening if you are suffering and are looking for a way to feel more confident when you walk into the world every day.

Inlays & Onlays

Inlays and onlays are a restoration technique dentists used to strengthen a tooth to address tooth damage and decay. Many people prefer to have their dental inlays prosthetics made with ceramic or porcelain, but some people prefer the look and feel of gold for their dental inlay material.

Gum Contouring

A gummy smile is a combination of teeth, gums, mouth and lips coming together to show more gum than teeth when you smile. You may feel that you have a gummy smile or are not sure if you have one so a quick consultation with the dentist should give you a better answer.
