CEREC - One-Visit Crowns

If it's difficult to find time in your schedule to see the dentist, Edgerton and Glenn wants you to know about CEREC®!

CEREC® technology has revolutionized the creation and application of the porcelain crown. This amazing system simply takes a digital image of your tooth and then carves out a fully customizable crown based on the unique size and shape of your tooth, in less than an hour. We can then place the crown as soon as it's done.

There are no impressions, no temporaries, no waiting for a lab to make a crown, no concerns about an incorrect fit and no second visit! Bring your oral health needs and your busy schedule to Edgerton and Glenn for the best treatment that fits into every schedule.

iTero Scanner

iTeroiTero Scanner is a state of art technology that helps dentists take impressions of a patient's oral cavity for Crowns, Bridges, Inlays, Onlays, Veneers and Invisalign. The iTero Scanner creates a digital map of a patient's mouth, and uses these images in restoring or replacement of a tooth or bridge. The traditional way of taking impressions was with large metal trays used with a liquid plaster, and patients were often concerned with the danger of gagging or swallowing the excess plaster "goop". The iTero Scanner alleviates these concerns. The entire process is conducted digitally, and does not require the liquid plaster. Patients can view their images as they are taken on the in-office computer display. After taking snapshots of the entire oral cavity, then a 3-dimensional landscapes is created by using the digital photography. This technology is much more convenient than the old method, and found to be more accurate than using the liquid plaster.

Intraoral Camera

Using a pen-sized camera, we take video of your teeth and project the live image onto a television screen in the treatment room. This image is magnified, allowing us to detect any decay, cracked or leaking fillings or other problems with more accuracy.

This technology helps us to diagnose and treat problems earlier than was ever before possible, and you’ll be able to see the exact same things in your mouth that we do, allowing you to ask questions and participate in your treatment! The camera is small and maneuverable so it’s another example of the comforts and technology we use to provide the best in modern dentistry.

Digital X-Rays

Digital x-rays expose you to the absolute least radiation possible, which is significantly lower with film x-rays. They're also quicker, more accurate, and much more comfortable for patients!

Digital Imaging

Envision your attractive your new smile before treatment even begins! With digital imaging, we will simply take a digital photo of your existing smile, cosmetically enhance its appearance on the computer, and show you the amazing result. Many seeking cosmetic dentistry in Wilmington are curious to know how their smile will look once all procedures are finished, and our digital imaging technology can do that!
